On July 1, 2001 at 12:15 AM, our son Emanuel stopped breathing just days before his 13the birthday! A fall from a rooftop ended his short life!

The pain was unbearable.

We cannot bring Emanuel back to life but with this foundation, which carries his name, we intend to help other children and adolescents in Germany and abroad.

The Emanuel Foundation is committed to helping the weakest members of society - the children. They are the ones who suffer most from deprivation and distress because they are unable to help themselves at this early age. Be it in developing countries where providing food and basic medical care constitutes a huge problem, or here in Germany, where for diverse reasons an increasing number of children are deprived of the opportunity to live a fulfilled life without the help of others. We want to make a difference and give children a future.
